YOU, Incorporated Reviews

Very helpful guide on how to plan and implement your long term professional career plan...most important, how to try to re-position yourself competitevely in the job market, which might be a different one ( sector, business department) to the one you have always worked in. Hope I could have read it earlier. Congrats Inés!

If you are a CEO this book will make you better. If you are washing floors, this book will make you better. If you are starting a business, this book will make you better. If you are a serial entrepreneur, this book will make you better. Ines Temple takes her years of experience, her devotion to always learning and research, to help you become better in whatever career you are in right now, so that you can become even better for the next career you make your move to. You is both practical and encouraging. Ines provides examples, and explains simply and elegantly how you can not only get to your career potential, but surpass it! I found this book just packed with helpful guidance and wisdom that regardless of what level you are in a business or how old you are YOU can always be a better YOU! Brilliantly written the book is truly inspiring!

I have already read a lot of what is in the book from different books but I still find it very useful because it seems to have everything in one small book. I also found a lot of valuable new insights. That is not all, even what I have already read about is presented in a fresh manner and while it is a book that can be read from any chapter, I find it also works if you read from cover to cover. The section on employability is my favourite just like personal marketing an area I find very hard. Nowadays many self-help books do not offer a lot in the area of Employment choosing instead to demonise it and promote setting own Businesses even though not everyone can travel that route. So this is a very useful book for the working man/woman or those looking to get into work.

SIMPLE ====== It's straightforward but it makes clear, effective and powerful points. MANAGEMENT ============= It can help you achieve a little more with your career. QUESTIONS ========== It makes you question how you are managing your career and gives bits of advice on what to do. GOOD ====== Good for all levels. Junior to higher execs.

This is a paperback book. With 186 pages including a good index. There is also a section with career self help tables. Such as why I will be hired, my personal marketing etc The main thrust of this book is that our “name” is our “brand” and to be successful at work (and I would say just about anything) we need to look after our personal brand. Remember people potentially employers see our brand/name and decide if to continue to give us a job. Another reminder here is that a job isn’t for life. We have to work at it! The section on how we humans communicate was very interesting. As was well the whole book. Very much a self help book for someone in employment or self employed. Not just for the “boss” either. The skills learnt would help in many other ways too. Recommended.

This takes a while to get going and makes banal points like jobs are like personal relationships. Essentially, you have to work hard at your job so that you are somebody that can go somewhere else. This becomes more important if you are faced with redundancy in a bank induced crisis....how do you prove you are computer literate...as the job applications fail to dazzle...you do wish you’d worked harder to show off your talents. Ultimately, this goes around the houses, but it does have valid points.

I just finished listening to your book, You, Incorporated on Audible. I was really listening to the content because I find myself more and more doing unofficial coaching and mentoring of young persons. I will recommend the book!! But, I also wanted to thank you for noting at the end of the book how very, very important it is to include God in goals and to see God's help along the way. Thank you!!!
